Hebrews 3 Bible Study
In Hebrews 3:1-6, it is important that you really know Jesus and understand why he die on the cross in order to live a healthy Christian life. We are partakers of Jesus’ holy calling. Jesus’ mission is to get people saved and enter into the heavenly kingdom. We share in this heavenly calling and everyone of us is responsible for spreading the good news to other people. God loves humanity so much that he sent his begotten son, Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins. Jesus Christ is the role model messenger, high priest and apostle. Jesus Christ was faithful to God who appointed him, just like Moses was faithful in God in his ministry to the Israelites. Moses received God’s glory when he came down from Mount Sinai (Exodus 34:29-35). We are the house that is being built by God. In Philippians 1:6, being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
In Hebrews 3:7-11, the Israelites refused to trust in God and disobey him. As a result, God let the first generation die in the desert so that they did not enter into the promised land, Canaan.
In Hebrews 3:12-19, we must not be harden our hearts and disbelieve in God. Refusing to trust in God is a serious sin and it will lead us astray from him (James 2:10; Proverbs 3:5-6; Romans 8:28; Romans 15:13).
