John 6 Bible Study

In John 6:1-15, Jesus fed 5,000 people with 5 loaves of barley bread and two small fishes. Before the bread is distributed, he gave thanks and broke them. After that, Jesus handed the bread over to the disciples to be distributed to the crowd. The disciples had faith in God so the food became sufficient to feed a crowd of 5,000 people. Having faith in God is important if you want to see God’s miracle in your life. If you believe that God can do it for you, he will answer your prayer. When you ask for something in your prayer, you should believe and ask according to the will of God (James 4:3).

In John 6:16-24, the disciples were rowing a boat on a lake when Jesus approached them by walking on the water. The disciples were shocked to see a person walking on the water. However, Jesus calmed them down by saying it is him. The crowd traveled to Capernaum when they realized that one boat was still left at the lake.

In John 6:25-59, we should spend time to do God’s work instead of being busy with our work. The money that you accumulate on earth cannot be taken with you after death. If you are faithful in doing God’s work and serving him while on earth, you will receive rewards in heaven. The riches in heaven will never be subjected to any kind of damage like the earthly wealth. We must always put our faith in Jesus Christ. If you are a believer, you must demonstrate your faith in Christ by serving him and loving others. Jesus Christ is the bread of life. He is the way, truth and life (John 14:6). He is the giver of life. When you have problem, you should discuss it with Jesus and let him help you. If you trust in Jesus, he will see you through your problem. Each believer was drawn by the Father to Christ. It was part of God’s plan that you came to the saving knowledge of the Messiah. Jesus said that unless we eat his flesh and drink his blood, we will not have life. Jesus is saying that every follower must observe the communion. Before eating the communion, you must confess your sins to God and ask him to cleanse them away with the blood of Jesus. You should ask God to cover the communion with the blood of Jesus.

In John 6:60-71, many disciples left after they heard Jesus’ teaching. Jesus said narrow is the path that lead to heaven and wide is the path that lead to hell. In order to enter into the kingdom of God, you must abide in all the commandments of God. Christians must abide in the Holy Spirit and carry out God’s commandments. The Holy Spirit gives us strength to accomplish all kinds of tasks and solve all kinds of problems. By following the guidance of the Holy Spirit, you will be able to come out of your problem.
