Exodus 37 Bible Study

1. Respect God

The articles in the tabernacle are only accessible by the priests. The Israelites are not allowed to access the articles in the tabernacle. This teach us to respect God’s commandments. Loving God is walking in his commandments. In Proverbs 1:7, the fear of God is the beginning of knowledge. Fools despise wisdom and instruction. In 2 John 1:9, anyone who goes on ahead and not abide in Christ does not have God. If you obey God’s teaching, the Father and Son will abide in you.

2. Keeping a clear conscience before God

God’s glory is enthroned in between the cherubims. The cherubims represents keeping a clear conscience with an upright heart before God. God searches the heart of all men and everything we do must be out of good will from the heart. We must nail our old self to the cross and love one another in Christ. In Hebrews 10:22, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, getting rid of evil conscience so that we can be washed by the blood of Jesus Christ.

3. Jesus is the bread of life

The table of shittim wood is where the show bread were placed. The show bread represents Jesus Christ, as the bread of life, the giver of life. Jesus is the way, truth and life (John 14:6). Anyone who drink the water Jesus gives will never be thirst again. Whenever you have problem, you should discuss it with Jesus Christ. In John 1:4, In Jesus was life and the life was the light of men. In John 11:25, Jesus said he is the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in him will live even if he dies.

4. The candlestick of pure gold

The candlestick of pure gold represents the word of God. In Psalms 119:105, the word of God is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. Every day, you should spend some time to read the bible.

5. Pray everyday

The incense altar represents the prayers that are offered up to God. Every day, you must spend some time in prayer to God. When praying, you must believe and not doubt so that your prayer can reach God. God will only answer the prayer of those who believe and pray according to his will. In 1 Thessalonians 5:7, we should pray without ceasing. In Ephesians 6:18, we should pray always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.
