Leviticus 1 Bible Study
1. Surrender yourself completely to God as a burnt sacrifice
The burnt sacrifice consists of a whole animal burnt unto God. It produces an aroma pleasing to God. Similarly, the burnt sacrifice apply to us. We are to offer ourselves as a complete burnt offering to God so that it will produce a pleasing aroma. In Romans 6:13, don’t offer your body members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead so that your members will be as instruments of righteousness unto God. In Romans 6:16, we become slaves to the one we offer ourselves to. If you obey God, it will lead you to righteousness. If you obey your carnal desire, it will make you a slave to sin which leads to death. In 2 Timothy 2:15, we should do our best to present ourselves to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. Your body is God’s temple so you should use it to glorify God (1 Corinthians 3:16-17; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
