Numbers 24 Summary
In the third oracle, Balaam blessed the Israelites again. This time, Balaam did not resort to use sorcery but he just faced toward the desert and uttered a blessing for the Israelites. After hearing Balaam’s oracle, Balak was very angry and he struck his hands together and instructed him to go home. Balak refused to pay any reward to Balaam because Balaam did not curse the Israelites, which is what he wanted. Balaam replied he could only say what God tell him to say. Balaam revealed the future of Moab and Amalek before returning home.
In Balaam’s fourth oracle, Balaam prophesied about the coming of the Messiah. Balaam also prophesied that Moab and Edom will be conquered. In Balaam’s fifth oracle, Balaam prophesied that Amalek and Kenites will be conquered.
