Numbers 29 Summary

 

The feast of trumpets is held on the 1st of the seventh month. On the day of the feast of trumpets, the Israelites must sound the trumpets. The priest is to offer one young bullock, one ram, and seven lambs of the first year without blemish as burnt offerings. The burnt offering is to be offered along with the meat offering which consists of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals for a bullock, and two tenth deals for a ram, and one tenth deal for one lamb, throughout the seven lambs, and one kid of the goats for a sin offering, to make an atonement for the priest. Besides, it is to be offered along with the monthly burnt offering, daily burnt offering, and drink offerings.

 

The day of atonement is held on the 10th day of the seventh month. On the day of atonement, the Israelites must deny themselves and not do work. The priest will offer one young bullock, one ram, and seven lambs of the first year without blemish as burnt offering. Besides, the priest must offer a meat offering that consists of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals to a bullock, and two tenth deals to one ram, a several tenth deal for one lamb. In addition, the priest must offer one goat kid as sin offering to make atonement.

 

The feast of the tabernacles is held on the 15th of the seventh month. It is celebrated for 7 days. On the 1st day, the priest must offer 13 young bullocks, 2 rams, and 14 lambs of the first year without blemish. In addition, the priest must offer a meat offering that consists of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals unto every bullock of the thirteen bullocks, two tenth deals to each ram of the two rams, and a several tenth deal to each lamb of the fourteen lambs. The priest also must offer one goat kid as a sin offering.

1. Jesus Christ has purchased us with his blood

The high priest go into the Most Holy Place with the blood of the sin offering to make atonement for his sin and the sins of the Israelites once every year on the 10th of the seventh month. If you confess your sins and repent, God will forgive you and use Jesus Christ’ blood to wash away your sins. The blood of Jesus Christ is only effective if you completely repent from your sins. The blood of Jesus Christ protect us from the enemy. Every day, you should ask God to use the blood of Jesus Christ to cover you. For example, you can pray and ask Jesus to use his blood to cover your journey, food and etc (1 John 1:7; Hebrews 9:24-28).
