1. Give generously with a sincere heart

The 12 tribal leaders give generously for the dedication of the altar. We must be generous in giving to God. Our gifts must not be made in order to be seen by people but it must be from a sincere heart. In 2 Corinthians 9:7, Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. In Proverbs 11:25, the liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself. In 2 Corinthians 8:12, for if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not. In Philemon 1:14, but without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly. In 1 Chronicles 29:17, I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee. In Matthew 6:1, take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
