Psalm 124 Outline

– Israel would have been destroyed by the enemies if God was not with them (Psalm 124:1-5)

– Praise God, for coming to the rescue of the Israelites (Psalm 124:6-8)

Psalm 124 Summary

In Psalm 124:1-5, if God has not been with the Israelites, they would have lost the battle to their enemies.

In Psalm 124:6-8, praise God that they had not been destroyed by the enemies. They successfully escape their enemies like a bird of the trap set by the bird hunter. Their help came from God, the creator of heaven and earth.

Psalm 124 Bible Study

1. God is always on our sides

God loves us and he wants to give us what we ask for. If you pray according to God’s will, God will surely answer your prayer. If someone offends you, you should not take revenge against them. However, you can ask God to deal with your enemies. In 1 John 5:14, and this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us. In Matthew 7:7, ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. In Matthew 21:22, and all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
