Psalm 70 Summary

In Psalm 70:1-4, David prayed that God hasten to save him from his enemies. He prayed that all who are put to shame and confusion will be put to shame. David prayed that those who want to see him fall turn back in disgrace. He prayed that all who seek him rejoice and be glad in God.

In Psalm 70:5, David confided to God that he is poor and needy and he need him to deliver him quickly.

1. Seek God in difficult times

David always sought after God’s help when surrounded by his enemies. No matter what circumstances you are in, you should seek God and ask for his guidance. If you really seek and pray about it, God will surely answer your prayer. In Matthew 7:7, ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. In Mark 11:24, therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. In 1 John 3:22, And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
