Psalm 99 Summary
In Psalm 99:1-3, God reigns forever. God is enthroned in between the cherubims on top of the lid of the ark of covenant. God is great and the Most High over all beings in heaven and earth. Every nation should praise God’s great and fearsome name. God is holy.
In Psalm 99:4-5, God is mighty. God loves justice and he is always fair in making judgment. We must always extol God’s name and worship him with a humble heart. God is holy.
In Psalm 99:6-7, Moses, Aaron and Samuel were God’s priests. They were faithful so God always answer their prayers when they cried out to him. God spoke to Moses from the pillar of cloud in the morning so that he can lead the Israelites (Exodus 13:21-22).
In Psalm 99:8-9, though the Israelites had rebelled against God many times, God always forgive and accept them back. We must always exalt God’s name by offering praises to him. God is holy.
Psalm 99 Bible Study
1. God is always willing to forgive and accept us back
If you sin and confess your sin and repent sincerely, God will surely forgive you and accept you back. In 1 John 1:8-9, if we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. In Matthew 6:14-15, for if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
