Bible Study Outline on God’s Character

God is Love

god-is-love

God is love. God loves the human beings he created so he created the animals. plants and other natural objects for them to enjoy. God will never do evil. All the evil things are done by the devil and evil spirits. Because God loves us first, we ought also to love others. We can show God’s love to the people surrounding us. As Christian, you should always take into consideration other people needs. If you love God, you must do his commandments.

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. (1 John 4:16 KJV)

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. (1 John 4:8 KJV)

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16 KJV)

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. (1 Corinthians 13:1-8 KJV)

We love him, because he first loved us. (1 John 4:19 KJV)

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. (1 John 4:9-10 KJV)

God is Holy

God is holy. God never sin and make mistake like us. He always speak the truth. God never tell lies so we can trust that he will always keep his promises. We are human beings and we are all proned to doing mistakes. This is because the seed of sin in Adam nad Eve had been passed down to the future generation. Because God is holy, anyone who wants to approach him must also be holy. As Christians, we must set apart ourselves from the world and never compromise our faith with worldy cultures. You can live a holy lifestyle by doing God’s commandments. God’s commandments are written in the bible.

Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. (1 Peter 1:16 KJV)

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? (Numbers 23:19 KJV)

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9 KJV)

God is always just in all his judgment. Whatever he say is correct because he is God. His judgment is alays fair. Jesus Christ will judge us during the judgment day when everyone will gather before his throne. Each of us will be judged according to the deeds we have done on earth. We must never judge others because only God is judge. We should avoid gossiping and reporting about other people’s business.

Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer: 6Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; 7And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, (2 Thessalonians 1:5-7 KJV)

Nothing is impossible with God if you have faith in him. God wants us to trust in him in all things instead of relying on our own strength. We usually want to believe and trust in solutions that our eyes can see. We should take everything to God in prayer. If you don’t pray, nothing will happen. If you want something to happen, you must present your request to God in prayer. God is our Father. He loves us and wants to give us our desires like a human father to his child. The only thing is that you must ask him in prayer. In addition, you must have faith in your prayer because only having faith can please God.

But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26 KJV)

For with God nothing shall be impossible. (Luke 1:37 KJV)

God knows everything. His eyes constantly search back and forward throughout the entire earth so he knows what is going on. There is nothing we can hide from God as he knows our thoughts and feelings. God knows our future. We should entrust our future into his hands and following the leading of the Holy Spirit. In this way, you will be able to live a succesful lifestyle and have good testimony to others.

Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. (Psalm 139:1-6 KJV)
