Bible Study Outline on Hebrews 11 – Have Faith in God

Trust in God and Seek Him in Prayer in Your Problems

Faith is an essential part of a Christian life. Faith is necessary if you want your prayer to be heard. In every circumstance that we face in life, we are to have faith in God. We will all face problems in life. We must never blame God for the problems we face in life. God works all things for the good of his people. Problems can challenge us to improve and have faith in God. When you have problem, you must pray and seek help from God. If your problem is not solved, you must keep on praying patiently and persistently, believing that God will answer your prayer one day.

Often, we will try to search for solutions in people or the technologies of the world or other sources to solve our problems. God is the source of all things so you should come to him for a solution to your problem if you need help in solving it. God is always ready to help you when you call to him in prayer. You must never be lazy to pray. You must be bold in prayer. When you ask, you will receive. When you truly seek something, it will be found by you.

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:17 KJV)

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (Hebrews 11:6 KJV)

And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. (Matthew 21:22 KJV)

For with God nothing shall be impossible. (Luke 1:37 KJV)

That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. (1 Corinthians 2:5 KJV)

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV)

Don’t Doubt in God

Hebrews 11:6 KJV states that “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” You must believe God exists and that he will reward you for what you pray if you want God to answer your prayer. You can pray to the Father God, Jesus Christ or Holy Spirit.

You must never doubt in God and say negative things that God will never answer your prayer. God does listen to your prayer and he will answer your prayer at the right time. Praying enables you to experience God yourself. If you don’t experience God yourself, you will not be able to have a relationship with God.

And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. (Mark 11:22-24 KJV)

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. (James 1:5-8 KJV)

He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. (Romans 4:20-21 KJV)

Faith Accredits You as Son of Righteousness

Faith is something we believe in but it is not seen yet. If it can be seen, then it is not called faith. The existence of God is manifested in the natural objects in the universe such as trees, grass, mountains and etc. The universe, the earth and all the natural objects in them are testimony of the existence of God.

Having faith in God makes you a righteous heir to eternal life and the kingdom of God. Abraham has faith in God and proceeded to sacrifice his son Isaac on an altar. He knew that God will provide an animal for the sacrifice but he acted in faith by sacrificing his son on the altar. Before he laid hand to kill his son on the altar, an angel called out so that he did not kill his son. God let Abraham see a ram that is caught in the thicket, which he later uses as sacrifice on the altar. God love us and he will never harm us but we must always have faith in him. God has a good plan for everyone and he can help you to successful if you walk in his plan. If you want to know God’s plan for your life, you should pray and ask God to reveal it to you.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1 KJV)

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. (Romans 10:4 KJV)
