Jesus said he is the bread of life. Bread is the standard food for people in certain countries. Most people can survive by only eating bread and water. Bread is an essential part of the Passover meal. During Passover, the Jews eat unleavened bread made without yeast for 1 week to celebrate how God delivered them from slavery in Egypt.
Jesus said anyone who eat this bread of life will not be hungry anymore. Jesus is the way, the truth and life. No one can come to the Father except by believing in the name of Jesus. God sent his son, Jesus Christ, to come into the world and die for our sins on the cross. Jesus is not merely a prophet or a good man. He is the son of God. He is also called by many other names including Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6).
Anyone who believe in Jesus Christ will have eternal life. Whoever who eat his flesh and drink his blood will have life. This is done by observing the communion at the church. Jesus Christ always do the Father’s will. He lives according to the Father’s will while he was on earth. He went to die on the cross even though he felt very depressed about his near death.
God fed the Israelites with manna for 40 years when they were in the wilderness. God wanted to show them that men do not live by bread alone but by every word of God. The word of God is the spiritual food for every Christian. Every Christian must study and learn the word of God so that they can grow up in spiritual maturity. The word of God is also the sword of the Spirit. Knowing God’s words can serve as a defense against our spiritual enemies, Satan. The bible teaches us how to maintain a holy life in following Jesus Christ.
The followers earn their way into the heaven by abiding and doing God’s commandments. There is no one who is righteous. Everyone is a sinner and need to confess his sin and acknowledge Jesus Christ as his Savior. It is not enough to just believe in Jesus Christ but you must also act out in your life. Real faith has action. In whatever problem you face, you should surrender it to God through prayer. We are to seek God’s help in every decision that we made.
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue (2 Peter 1:3 KJV)
A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just. (Proverbs 13:22 KJV)
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. (Genesis 2:7 KJV)
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23 KJV)
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV)
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6 KJV)
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. (Matthew 16:25 KJV)
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16 KJV)
A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one’s birth. It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart. Sorrow is better than laughter: for by the sadness of the countenance the heart is made better. The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning; but the heart of fools is in the house of mirth. It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools. For as the crackling of thorns under a pot, so is the laughter of the fool: this also is vanity. (Ecclesiastes 7:1-6 KJV)
