Kindness and goodness are quite similar. Kindness is being kind to someone while goodness is imitating the character of Christ by wanting to do God’s commandments.
In the real world, people are not kind. The truth of human nature is that everyone has an evil inside. Even children can be evil and do bad things. Kindness prompt you to want to be at peace and live in harmony with everyone. Today, we are exposed to all kinds of bad influences including violent media, music, school, workplace, books and etc. Children are unable to differentiate between right and wrong so they are more subsceptible to being influenced. Adults can also becoming badly influenced by the surroundings because of continual exposure and brainwash to the wrong media.
Kindness is being caring and compassionate to the people in your surroundings. A person that is kind will not have the evil intention to harm someone or an animal. Jesus Christ said that we must be kind to others by doing to them what we want people to do to us.
We are to be kind to our enemies by not taking revenge and always help them when seeing them in troubles. When you do this, you will have great rewards in heaven and be called the sons of Most High. When you are persistent to being kind to those who are depressed or your enemies, you will be able to give them an impression that you are a true friend. This will heal their hearts and it will be easier for you to lead them to Christ. In order to develop the virtue of kindness, you must get rid of all selfish ambitions, which are the works of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21).
Goodness is a character of God. God is good to everyone. He generously provide the rain and sun to everyone including good and bad. The disciples of Christ must bear a lot of fruits. When Jesus was on earth, he went about doing good The parable of the sheep and goats show what kind of Christian God want us to be . In the parable of the sheep and goats, the sheep refers to the good Christians who help the needy but the goats refer to the bad Christians who did not care to help the needy. Good in the bible refers to obedience to God and abiding in his commandments. Any act of disobedient against God’s commandment is considered evil.

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another. (Galatians 5:16-26 KJV)
