Bible Study Outline on Wisdom and Understanding

Wisdom comes from God. If you have difficulty in doing something, you can ask God for wisdom. God freely gives wisdom to anyone who ask him for it. You can ask God to give you wisdom in your studies, job, or difficult situation.

Often, we don’t ask God for wisdom. We will try to use our own wisdom to solve problems first. When we can’t solve a problem, we will get frustrated and started to blame people or God for it. Instead of blaming others, we should be calm and patient and pray for God to guide us through the problem.

Most people don’t make judgment wisely. They will choose the path that they feel most convenient for them. They will make decision on their life path based on their emotions, lusts and wants. A person with wisdom will always listen to advice when making decision. Stubborn people usually don’t like to listen to advice. As Christians, we should always make our decisions in accordance to God’s words in the bible. If you need help in making a decision, you can ask God to give you guidance. God is always there to help us whenever we have problem in any issue.

Understanding God’s words is important. If you don’t understand God’s words, you should reference the commentary. Many Christians like to seek advice from people that will say things that they want to listen. We must always humble ourselves instead of trying to prove that we are right. If you are headstrong, the Holy Spirit will not help you. We must always humble ourselves in all our ways before the Holy Spirit will guide us.

Nowadays, people put a lot of emphasis on worldly wisdom such as collegeĀ  and university education. While certificates may be important to help us get jobs, we must not forget to also depend on God. When you have God in your life, everything will go smoothly with you. We must not forget to read our bible regularly so that we will always be close to God. Whatever we have is from God so we must never be proud and forget God when we become successful. We must always give glory to God in everything that we do.

We often like to do things our own ways. That is why it is important to remember God’s teachings and his commands in your heart all the time. In this way, you will not walk astray from God.

If you claim you know God, you must act it out in your lifestyle by showing love to the people around you. This will show that you are doing your duty as a disciple of Christ.

Many Christians know God’s words but they don’t understand them. We must not just know God’s words but also truly understand its meaning. If you don’t know God’s words, you will not know how to live your life right for God.

(Jeremiah 9:23-24 KJV)
