Can Christians Wear Religious Jewelry?

cross-necklace

Many Christians like to wear a cross necklace or other types of cross jewelry as a way of professing their faith. The empty cross is a reminder of what Jesus Christ has done for us on the cross to redeem us from our sins. Jesus has already risen from the dead and is alive forever. The cross that Catholic wears always show the figures of Jesus Christ nailed to the cross. This is wrong as the cross symbolizes crucifying Jesus Christ all over again. There are also non believers who wear cross jewelry to follow the fashion trend.

The bible tells us not to be vain. If you want to wear a cross necklace, make sure you are not wearing it to decorate yourself. The cross jewelry should not become an idol for you. Wearing a cross does not mean you are a Christian. Being a Christians means you submit your life to Jesus Christ and live your life for him by following God’s commandments.

The bible did not states that Christians must wear a cross necklace. There is no need to wear a cross necklace to become a Christian. The most important thing is your faith in God. God is always searching our hearts to see if we truly follow him. A true Christian will display his faith in his lifestyle. God is a spirit and we must worship him in spirit and truth. We are to work hard in following God by carrying our cross every day.

The cross is not refer to the burden you carry in life such as illness and lousy job. When Jesus was on his way to crucifixion, he was forced to carry the crucifix on the back. The crucifix represents torturous death in the days of Jesus. Carrying a cross in Jesus’days is humiliating the criminal as he carry his own execution device to the place of death.

To carry your cross means the willingness to follow Jesus even unto death. Christians are to die to their old selves. Jesus said whoever that wants to save their live will ose it but whoever who lose their lives for God will save it. Jesus warned that there is no good in gaining the whole world yet forfeing the soul. We are not to be ashamed of Jesus Christ in front of our friends, colleages, or family members. You should talk about the gospel with them and encourage them to come to know Jesus Christ. It is important to live your life for Jesus so that people can see the good change in your life after conversion.

Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way. (Psalm 119:37 KJV)

But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart. (1 Samuel 16:7 KJV)

For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. (1 Timothy 4:8 KJV)

Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. (Proverbs 31:30 KJV)

Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:6-11 KJV)

And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them, 26If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish. Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand? Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace. So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple. (Luke 14:25-30 KJV)

Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned? It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for the dunghill; but men cast it out. (Luke 14:34-35 KJV)

And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha: (John 19:17 KJV)

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (2 Corinthian 5:17 KJV)

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. ( Romans 12:1-2 KJV)

For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. (2 Corinthians 5:1-5 KJV)

That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. (Ephesians 4:22-24 KJV)

What Does Every Good and Perfect Gift Comes from Above Mean?

james-1-17

Every good and perfect gift comes from above means that everything good is a gift from the Father God in heaven. We ought to thank God for everything good in our life, for example, our health, relationship, marriage, children, and career. Often, we grumble, complain and murmur instead thanking God.

Proverbs 10:22 states that the blessings that are from God will bring wealth without adding any sorrow in it. You can easily discern if something is a blessing from God by looking for the signs. If there are bad signs, it means that it is not from God as God is good and will not harm people. Only the devil is wicked and will want to do all kinds of mischief. If it is a blessing from God, you will only see good signs.

In whatever you do, you should not rely on your own wisdom but pray and seek God’s guidance. God is always ready to help us when we turn to him in prayer. If you pray once and did not see result, you should pray again. Praying lets you experience God. God is good but that does not mean that you will be free from worries and troubles after you become a believer. Everyone on earth will face problems. Problems train us to grow and become mature in faith. If there is no problem, you will not be challenged to trust in God. If God answer your prayer and grant your request, you should thank him. We are to thank God in all circumstances as this is God’s will for us in Christ Jesus.

Romans 8:28 states that God works all things for the good of his people. Jeremiah 29:11 states that God has a good plan for his children, a plan to make them prosper and not to harm them, plans that will give them a hope and future. God can put us in different circumstances to lead us to do his will. If you want to know God’s plan, you can pray and ask him to reveal to you. Every Christian has a spiritual gift from the Holy Spirit.

We are to use our spiritual gifts to serve God. Your spiritual gift is something that you are good at in serving God. For example, some people are good in teaching the Sunday School. Some people are playing music instruments and serving in the worship team. You must practice your spiritual gift until you are good at it so that you can use it to serve God for his glory.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. (James 1:17 KJV)

The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it. (Proverbs 10:22 KJV)

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28 KJV)

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the Lord: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the Lord; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive. (Jeremiah 29:11-14 KJV)

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.
It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. (Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV)

Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? (Jeremiah 17:5-9 KJV)

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. (1 Peter 5:7 KJV)

Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength (Isaiah 26:4 KJV)

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:16-18 KJV)

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19 KJV)

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. (John 6:63 KJV)

Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 KJV)

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. (John 16:33 KJV)

How Did God Create the World in 6 Days?

creation-of-the-world

Genesis 1 records how God created the earth in 6 days. On the first day, God created day and night. On the second day, God created the sky. God also gathered the water to one place so that there are seas and dry ground. On the third day, God created all kinds of seed bearing plants and trees and vegetations. On the fourth day, God created the sun, moon, and seasons. On the sixth day, God created all kinds of birds and sea creatures. On the sixth day, God created all kinds of animals including wild animals, livestock, and creatures that move on the ground.

Then, God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” (Genesis 1:26 KJV) God created a male and female. God blessed them and the animals he had made, that they will be fruitful and fill the earth. God let the man ule over the fish, birds and wild animals. God gave every green plants as food for the men and animals.

God is the author of creation. He stopped 6 times to observe his works and saw that everything was very good. We are God’s creations. God created us while we are in our mothers’wombs. God created each of us unique according to his purpose. You may not be pleased with yourself but God made you and he is pleased with you. God says let us make man in our image and likeness in Genesis 1:26. This shows that God is in the form of trinity which consists of the Father God, Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit.

God rested on the 7th day so God wants us to rest from our work on this day as well. The 7th day is the Sabbath. The Sabbath is usually Saturday or Sunday, depending on which day you go to church service. On the Sabbath, Christians should not work and make money. You should not hire someone to oversee your business on the Sabbath as this is considered as making money. If you run a business, you should close it on the weekends. It is also wrong to sell your products at the church during Sunday service, even if you are giving a percentage of your sale to the church.

Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.(Exodus 20:8-11 KJV)

Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God. (John 5:18 KJV)

And when he was departed thence, he went into their synagogue: And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him. And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out? How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days. Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other. Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him. (Matthew 12:9-14 KJV)

But if ye will not hearken unto me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden, even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched. (Jeremiah 17:27 KJV)

And Moses gathered all the congregation of the children of Israel together, and said unto them, These are the words which the LORD hath commanded, that ye should do them. Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a sabbath of rest to the LORD: whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death. Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the sabbath day. (Exodus 35:1-3 KJV)

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so. And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. (Genesis 1:26-31 KJV)

Bible Study Outline on Setting Your Eyes on Things Above

colossians-3-2

The children of God should set their eyes on the things above. The non believers seek after the things of this world. As Christians, we should set apart ourselves from the world by not being greedy for material riches. Jesus used the parable of the rich fool to describe those who only concern on living the best on the earth but did not have any concern about their afterlife. In the parable of the rich fool, a rich man decided to tear down his barns and build bigger bans to store the surplus grain. The rich man thought to himself that he will be able to take life easy as he has plenty of grains store up in the barns for himself.

Many of us are only concern about having a good life on earth. Many Christians don’t care about abiding in God’s commandments as they want to fulfill their own desires first. A true disciple will always put God first in everything that he do. God promises that those who are faithful to God to the end and finish the race of life well will receive the crown of life.

In John 14:2-4, Jesus told his disciples that he is going away to the Father to prepare a place for them. He told them that there are many rooms in his Father’s home. In heaven, God prepare mansions for his saints. Only those who faithfully serve God will be able to have a mansion in heaven. In heaven, the treasure are not subjected to moth, and vermin. There will be no thieve in heaven to steal the treasures that have been rewarded to the saints for their good works.

You are now a new creation and must live your life for Jesus Christ. You must love Jesus Christ by hating sin and do good. To do good is to obey God and walk in his commandments. The bible contains God’s commandments so we must read and study it. Christians are to live by faith and not walk by sight. Christians should be anxious for nothing but submit their worries to God through prayer, supplication and thanksgivings (Philippians 4:6). When you do this, you will experience the peace of God in your heart and mind (Philippians 4:7).

You should apply what you have learn from studying God’s words. Christians should not be merely a listener but also a doer of God’s words. Faith must be accompanied with actions otherwise your faith is not real. Christians must resist from following the desires of the flesh including adultery, hatred, selfish ambitions, drunkenness, heresies and etc. Christians must be fruitful and produce the fruits of the Spirit.

Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. (Colossians 3:2 KJV)

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7 KJV)

Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample. (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.) For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. (Philippians 3:17-21 KJV)

But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. (Matthew 16:23 KJV)

In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 4And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. (John 14:2-4 KJV)

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (1 Corinthians 5:17 KJV)

(Romans 12:1-2 KJV)

But ye have not so learned Christ; If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. (Ephesians 4:20-24 KJV)

And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. (Revelation 22:5 KJV)

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. (James 1:22 KJV)

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12 KJV)

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: (2 Timothy 3:16 KJV)

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. (Matthew 6:19-21 KJV)

For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. (1 Timothy 6:7-10 KJV)

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33 KJV)

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. (Matthew 6:24 KJV)

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. (Hebrews 13:5 KJV)

If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. (Luke 14:26 KJV)

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
(James 1:12 KJV)

Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. (Revelation 2:10 KJV)

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
(2 TImothy 4:7 KJV)

Does God Hate?

god-is-love

The bible states that God is love. God is rich in mercy and compassion. God so love everyone in the world that he send his only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to the earth to die on the cross for their sins. God is holy and he expect us to be holy as well. In Noah days, God could not tolerate the sins of mankind and decided to wipe them away from the face of the earth. Exodus 34:7 records that God maintain loves to thousands, and forgiving their rebellion and sin. But God will not leave the guilty unpunished. God said he will punish the sinners up to the third generations.

Many people question why God sentenced sinners to hell if he is a God of love. Deuteronomy 32:4 states that God is perfect and all his ways are justice. God is a God of love but he is also a just God. He will punish sinners who disobey and sin against him. For some sinners, they will receive their punishment while on earth. Some sinners will be punished in their after life. God does not hate people but he has to sentence punishment for sins because he is a fair God. The laws are set up by our governments to help God punish the sinners. Criminals who offended the laws such as thieves and killers will be sentenced to jails. This is why Christians must submit to the authorities and do what the laws said.

Sometimes, the laws may contradict what the bible says. For example, many countries have approve of homosexuality. This does not mean that God approves homosexuality. If you know someone who is gay or lesbian, you should pray that they come to know Jesus Christ and get saved.God’s ways and his laws are righteous. We are to abide by God’s commandments and rely on him in all that we do. Children should be taught about God’s commandments in the bible so that they will be well behaved. Many children behave badly and commit criminal offenses because they are exposed to negative influences in their environments.

We only have time to repent when we are alive on this earth. After you die, there will be no more chance. If you go to hell, you will be punished there forever. If you have an enemy and you are afraid that he will harm you, you can pray for God to protect you and punish the enemy. If the enemy is wrong, God will act on justice and punish the enemy. You are not to take revenge against your enemy but act in love towards him.

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. (1 John 4:16 KJV)

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.(1 John 4:8-10 KJV)

We love him, because he first loved us. (1 John 4:19 KJV)

¡°For God so loved the world,[i] that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. (John 3:16-17 KJV)

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. (1 Corinthians 13:1-13 KJV)

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:37-39 KJV)

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. (1 John 4:18 KJV)

For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. (Hebrews 12:6 KJV)

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (John 3:16-17 KJV)

Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the Lord your God am holy. (Leviticus 19:2 KJV)

Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. (1 Peter 1:16 KJV)

There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God. (1 Samuel 2:2 KJV)

For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. (Isaiah 57:15 KJV)

Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? (Exodus 15:11 KJV)

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (Romans 3:23 KJV)

He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he. (Deuteronomy 32:4 KJV)

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. (Revelation 21:8 KJV)

This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. (1 John 1:5-10 KJV)

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. (Revelation 21:8 KJV)

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:15 KJV)

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: (1 Peter 5:8 KJV)

But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. (Hebrews 2:9 KJV)

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. (1 John 4:8 KJV)

These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. (Proverbs 6:16-19 KJV)

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6 KJV)

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. (2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV)

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23 KJV)

Do Animals Go to Heaven?

Jesus

Animals are creations of God and have the breath of life just like human beings. God can heal animals. If your pet is sick, you can pray to God to make it well. There are many bible verses that talk about animals. Job 12:7, 10 states that the life of every animal is in the hand of God. Proverbs 12:10 states that a righteous man will look after the needs of his animals.

Ecclesiastes 3:19-20 states that the same fate awaits both human and animals. Both human and animals will go to the same place when they die and return to the dust one day.Ecclesiastes 3:21 questions how can anyone be sure the soul of a human being will rise up to heaven while the soul of an animal will descend into the ground.

Since animals are God’s creations, they will also a part of the kingdom of God in heaven. In heaven, all the animals will be tame and kind. Isaiah 11:6 points out that wild animals such as wolf, leopard, lion, and bear, will be together with tame animals such as young goat and calf. In Isaiah 11:8, a young child will play near the den of the cobra or put his hand into the nest of the viper and not die.

Human beings are special because they are made in God’s image and likeness. When God first made Adam, he entrusted to him the responsibility of overseeing the animals. All the animals listen to Adam in the beginning. Animals are not as intelligent as human beings.

Animals cannot make moral decisions like human beings. Humans are able to reason right from wrong. They can choose to accept or reject the message of salvation. The plan of salvation is for human beings. Jesus came down to the earth to be crucified on the cross and die for the sins of all human beings on the earth.

God is constantly looking after everyone in the world including the animals, birds, insects and etc. Matthew 6:26 states how God look after the birds and make sure they are able to find enough food to sustain themselves even though they do not sow or reap or store in barns.

We are more valuable than the animals so we should not worry about what we should eat, drink or wear. God knows what we need and he will supply them all when we seek his kingdom and righteousness first. This means we are to put God first in all that we do by walking in his commandments. We must choose to rely on God rather than human beings when facing problems in life.

But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee (Job 12:7 KJV)

In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind. (Job 12:10 KJV)

A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel. (Proverbs 12:10 KJV)

For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity. All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again. Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth? (Ecclesiates 3:19-21 KJV)

The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den. (Isaiah 11:6-8 KJV)

(Genesis 1:26-28 KJV)

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. (Joshua 24:15 KJV)

A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps. (Proverbs 16:9 KJV)

If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. (John 7:17 KJV)

Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? (Matthew 6:26 KJV)

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (John 3:16-17 KJV)

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7 KJV)

If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. (Luke 14:26 KJV)

Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word. But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her. (Luke 10:38-42 KJV)

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. (James 1:17 KJV)

Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man (James 1:13 KJV)

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (Hebrews 11:6 KJV)

(Hebrews 3:5-8 KJV)

(Proverbs 3:5-8 KJV)

Bible Study Outline on Exercising Your Dominion

11_world-system

Everyone has dominions and the power to control others. God gave Adam dominion over the animals in the beginning. All the animals have to obey Adam. Adam fell from his dominion and was chased out by God from the garden of Eden along with Eve after falling into the deception of the devil. The devil is a thief as his aim is to steal what is precious to you and kill you so that your life will be destroyed.

Men still have dominion as God never take it back. All gifts of God are not revocable. When mankind fall into sin, they are giving the devil dominion over them. As God’s children, we are supposed to live a holy life for him. We are slave to who we obey. We can only be slave to the devil or slave to God. If you choose to obey God, you must allow God to guide you in every aspect of your life. We are not to live in the sins of the people of the world but live according to God’s words. Christians cannot compromise by half-heartedly obeying God and following worldly practices at the same time.

Every man has a free will to choose to obey or disobey God. God promised that he will bless those who obey him and carry out his commandments. Jesus said that there will be tares among the wheats that have been sown. The parable of the wheat and the tares is about the enemy who sow tares among the wheat so that the wheat crop can be destroyed. The farmer will not allow the enemy to succeed. Instead of pulling out the tares first, the wise farmer will wait until the harvest time so that he can sort them out before destroying the tares. The tares are things contrary against God’s commandments.

We must exercise our dominions properly without taking advantage of others. For example, if you are a supervisor, you must avoid using your power to tell your subordinates to do things that are not in their job scopes for your own advantage. We must be responsible for everything that we are accountable.

If you cannot fulfill your promise, you should not take up the responsibility. Jesus said that those who are faithful in small things can be trusted with big things. Whoever that is dishonest with little cannot be trusted with much. God will call us into account of everything we do and say while we are on earth during the Judgment Day.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. (Ephesians 6:10-20 KJV)

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. (1 Corinthians 10:13 KJV)

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. (John 10:10 KJV)

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. (1 John 3:2 KJV)

And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. (1 John 5:19 KJV)

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. (Revelation 21:3 KJV)

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. (Romans 6:14 KJV)

Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet. (Psalm 8:6 KJV)

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. (Luke 10:19 KJV)

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. (Genesis 1:28 KJV)

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. (Genesis 1:26 KJV)

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8 KJV)

And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. (2 Corinthians 11:14 KJV)

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7 KJV)

And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (Revelation 20:10 KJV)

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. (John 8:44 KJV)

Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. (James 1:13-15 KJV)

And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. (Revelation 12:9 KJV)

He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. 11If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? 12And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own?  (Luke 16:10-12 KJV)

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. (John 13:34-35 KJV)

Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. (Romans 13:8 KJV)

Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. (Ephesians 4:25 KJV)

But as God is true, our word toward you was not yea and nay. For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea. For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, isGod; Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. (2 Corinthians 1:18-22 KJV)

Bible Study Outline on Priorities

"Priorities" Road Sign with dramatic clouds and sky.

The first commandment in the Ten Commandments tells us that we cannot have other gods in our hearts except God. Despite that, we put many things in our lives more important than God. Anything can become god if we idolize it and let it control us. We must use our time to do what God wants us to do. Time is precious and we should not waste it on useless work.

Keeping God in priorities enables us to enjoy an abundant life in God. God promised to protect us when we walk uprightly before him . We can put god in priority by spending time to do what he want. Every Christian should develop a habit of praying, worshiping and studying God’s words in the bible daily. Reading and studying God’s words will give you wisdom. Through reading God’s words, you can find inspiration and encouragement in your problems. God’s words is the sword of the Spirit, which we use to defend ourselves against the attacks of the evil spirits.

If you put God in priority, you will want him to be involved in all areas of your life. We should always submit our burdens to God through prayer. When you aim to live your life in a way to please God, God promise to bless you and make you successful in all you do. You will feel the joy and peace of the Holy Spirit when you choose to put God first.

God called us out of the world into the light so we should not go back to live like the people of the world. We are to love one another and provide help to the needy. Whatever we say or do should be to build up others. You should not do anything that could cause a fellow Christian to stumble even if what you do is right according to the bible. We should always consider the welfare of others before our needs. It is the will of God that we live in harmony and peace with one another.

We must learn to say no to things that do not benefit our relationship with God. For example, we must resist the urge to watch shows or movies that do not edify our relationship with God such as horror, witchcraft, pornography, and violent movies. It requires a lot of discipline in order to live uprightly before God.

We are to proclaim the gospel to everyone we know. There are many people whose heart is ready to accept Jesus as their Lord when people speak the gospel. We should not fear of people’s rejection and preach the message boldly.

(Romans 12:1-2 KJV)

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33 KJV)

This is a true saying, if a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?) Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil. Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre; Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience. And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless. Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things. Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well. For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus. (1 Timothy 3:1-13 KJV)

Thou shalt have no other gods before me. (Exodus 20:3 KJV)

And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment. Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls? And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest? Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith? And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. (Luke 12:22-34 KJV)

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. (Philippians 4:6-8 KJV)

If ye love me, keep my commandments. (John 14:15 KJV)

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? (Mark 8:36-37 KJV)

Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart. (2 Timothy 2:22 KJV)

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. (Matthew 6:24 KJV)

But I have used none of these things: neither have I written these things, that it should be so done unto me: for it were better for me to die, than that any man should make my glorying void. 16For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel! 17For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me. 18What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel. (1 Corinthians 9:15-18 KJV)

For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another. (Galatians 5:13-26 KJV)

This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. (1 John 1:5-10 KJV)

For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. (1 John 5:3 KJV)

Pray without ceasing. (1 Thessalonians 5:17 KJV)

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. (James 5:16 KJV)

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; (Ephesians 6:18 KJV)

Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. (Jeremiah 33:3 KJV)

I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. (1 Timothy 2:8 KJV)

Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. (James 5:13 KJV)

And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. (Acts 2:42 KJV)

And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. (Hebrews 10:24-25 KJV)

Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. (1 Thessalonians 5:11 KJV)

But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. (Matthew 12:36-37 KJV)

If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain. (James 1:26 KJV)

A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak (Ecclesiastes 3:7 KJV)

Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles. (Proverbs 21:23 KJV)

Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. (Philippians 4:6-9 KJV)

Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. (Psalm 55:22 KJV)

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. (1 Peter 5:7 KJV)

Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. (Psalm 68:19 KJV)

Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance. (Psalm 112:6 KJV)

Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established. (Proverbs 16:3 KJV)

Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth. (Psalm 37:5-9 KJV)

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. (Ephesians 4:29 KJV)

{A Psalm of David.} LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour. In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not. He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved. (Psalm 15:1-5 KJV)

Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. (Matthew 22:36-40 KJV)

3 Characters in the Bible that God Used

Abraham

Abraham-isaac1

Abraham was a good friend of God so God always tell him everything he had in mind to do. This is why God told Abraham that he was going down to visit the city of Sodom and Gomorrah to see for himself if their inhabitants are wicked. Abraham is humble, obedient and put his faith in God. Because of Abraham’s humility, God chose him to be the Father of the Israelite nation. He told him his offsprings would be as many as the stars in the sky and sand on the seashore even though he did not have any offspring. God also gave him a promise, that he will inherit the land of Canaan one day. Abraham gladly served the 3 visitors in front of his tent. When he saw the 3 visitors, he ran to them and ask if they want some food to eat. Then, he picked a choice animal and instructed his servant to prepare it. He set the food before the visitors.

Samson

Samson did not follow the rules of a Nazirite even though he was ordained as a Nazirite from birth. He married a woman from Timnah, a Philistine town. The Philistines were the major enemies of the Israelites. He could not control himself from taking the honey from the carcass of the dead lion which he killed on the way to Timnah. Nazirites are not supposed to touch dead corpses. He slept with the prostitute at Gaza and a Philistine prostitute called Delilah. In the end, it was his own weakness to woman, Delilah that betrayed him by cutting off his hair when he told him that his hair is the secret to his strength. The Philistines captured Delilah and put him into prison to grind mill. God was able to use Samson in his last days, when his hair has already grown back. Samson was able to take one last revenge against the Philistines. He pushed the temple’s pillars and they collapsed.

Paul

stpaul01

Paul, originally called Saul, used to persecute the Christians before his conversion. He was a pharisee just like his father. Paul’s conversion occur when he was on his way to Damascus to arrest the Christians there. While on the road to Damascus, a bright line shone at him and he heard the voice of Jesus Christ asking him why he kept persecuting him. His eyes was blinded by the bright light and his companions led him into Damascus. While in Damscus, a follower called Ananias lay hand on him and pray for him so that he received his eyesight back. From that time onwards, he started to preach the gospel to everyone he meet. Paul was a very stubborn man that has lots of enthuasism for God. God took the good point of his zealousness and used him for his glory in spreading the gospel. Paul has one weakness, which he states is a thorn of his flesh, that God used to stop him from becoming conceited. No one should feel that he does not have the ability to do God’s work because of his weakness. Every follower is gifted in some ways to build up others towards maturity in Christ.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. (John 14:12 KJV)

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 5:14-16 KJV)

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. (Philippians 2:12-13 KJV)

But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. 21If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work. (2 Timothy 2:20-21 KJV)

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. (Romans 5:3-5 KJV)

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. 8We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; 10Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. 11For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. 12So then death worketh in us, but life in you. (2 Corinthians 4:7-12 KJV)

But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:8-13 KJV)

Bible Study Outline on Intercession

intercession-jesus
All Christians must develop a prayer life. Every day, we must spend some time to pray. Praying is a way of talking to God. When there seems to be no solution for a problem, the best solution is to pray to God. Usually, we will only turn to God when we face a dire situation. Every Christian has the right to pray and ask God for something he needs. You don’t need to go to a priest in order to speak to God. You can pray yourself in your own room. There is no need to request Mary or the apostles in heaven to pray for you. Making contact with the dead is a sin.

You should also pray for others instead of just praying for yourself. There are many things we can intercede to God in prayer. You can pray for the government, unsaved family members and friends, fellow Christians that are suffering from illnesses, and etc. Christians are to love others as much as they love themselves. An action of love is to pray for those who are needy. When God sees that you care for others’ needs, he will also take care of your needs. Matthew 6:33 states that we are to seek God’s kingdom first by doing his will before God will add unto us everything else we need.

Prayer intercession gives us power to fight against Satan. Just as soldiers going into war are armed with guns, we must armed ourselves with weapon when we go into a spiritual battle. The weapon to fight and win a spiritual battle is prayer and God’s words. We can pray in words or tongue language. It is important that Christians read God’s words in the bible. Without God’s words in your head, the devil can easily attack you.

Satan is constantly causing troubles because he want to draw more people to Hell. We can defeat Satan by frequently praying. If you do nothing, you are giving Satan the license to continue in carrying out his work of destruction. Matthew 7:7 states that we must ask before we can receive. You cannot expect God to automatically help you when you don’t ptay. Problems give us opportunities to develop our faith in Christ. As you pray, you will see God’s deliverance. Personal experience of God is crucial in order to develop a close relationship with God.

Prayer intercession has power when the people pray in faith. You can take part in prayer groups at the church. Prayer group can be effective as many believers are gathering together to pray in unity. The bible says that Jesus is present when two or three believers gather together to pray.

Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. (Hebrews 7:25 KJV)

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. (Romans 8:26 KJV)

Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way (1 Samuel 12:23 KJV)

Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the Lord, and against thee; pray unto the Lord, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people. (Numbers 21:7 KJV)

We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers (1 Thessalonians 1:2 KJV)

Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.

18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

19 Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;

20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins. (James 5:14-20 KJV)

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men (1 Timothy 2:1 KJV)

Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy. For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort. He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church. I would that ye all spake with tongues but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying. (1 Corinthians 14:1-5 KJV)

Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret. 14For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. 15What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also. (1 Corinthians 14:13-15 KJV)

Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant. Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led. Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. (1 Corinthians 12:1-11 KJV)
