Does God Forgive Gays?

The bible clearly tells us to stay away from gay and homosexuality. Leviticus 18:22 and Leviticus 20:13 states that it is a sin for a male to lie with a male as with a woman. Deuteronomy 22:5 states that a woman should not wear man’s clothes and a man should not wear a woman clothes. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 states that the unrighteous will not inherit eternal life and enter into the kingdom of God including homosexuals, fornicators, and adulterers.

Some of the homosexuality verses are from the Old Testament but that is not to say that we don’t have to obey it. Jesus’ death and resurrection has validated the new covenant. According to the new covenant, there is no need to abide by the Moses laws including rituals, festivities and other laws. However, Christians still have to abide by the moral laws in the Old Testaments. for example, the Ten Commandments.

It is also wrong to tolerate against homosexuality and approve it. It is not wrong to talk to a homosexuals and be friendly and kind towards them. However, it is wrong to mix with homosexuals company, for example, going out with them. Bad company can corrupt you. What you do can affect your thoughts. Mixing with bad company can affect your faith in Jesus Christ. Ultimately, it will lead you away from God. We must be careful not to give the devil a footstep. Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed by God because the wickedness of its inhabitants. One of the sins of the people of Sodom and Gomorrah is homosexuality (Jude 1:7).

God will forgive anyone who sincerely repent and confess their sins to him. The parable of the father and his two sons in Luke 15:11-32 shows that the Father God is merciful and forgiving to those who repent and return to him. In the parable, a father has two sons. One day, the father divided his property between the two sons. The younger son accumulate all he had and set out to a distant land. While at the distant country, he squandered away his wealth and spent all he had. There was a severe famine and he began to be in need. Eventually, he hired out himself as a worker who feed the pigs at a farm. He longed to eat the pods that the pigs were eating.

Then, he realized that many of his father’s servants are experiencing starvation and decided to return to him. When he was a long way off, the father ran to him and embraced him and kissed him. The father has the best robe and sandals put on him. The father had a fattened calf slaughtered to celebrate his return. When the older son saw this, he was angry but the father told him that they are to celebrate and be glad because his brother is dead but now alive again. He was once lost but now is found (Luke 15:11-32 KJV).

Jesus died for our sins on the cross so that those who have faith in him can be saved and receive eternal life. However, the gift of salvation is only for those who have repented of their old ways and make a decision to follow God. If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your savior but you continue in your sinful lifestyle, you are still not saved yet.

You can pray and ask God to help you if you find that you cannot overcome the sin of gay and homosexuality. You should pray persistently and patiently. You can also have your pastor or other Christians pray for you. God will hear your prayer as it is written everyone who call on him will be saved.

Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. (Leviticus 18:22 KJV)

If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. (Leviticus 20:13 KJV)

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. What Does Every Good and Perfect Gift Comes from Above Mean?

Every good and perfect gift comes from above means that everything good is a gift from the Father God in heaven. We ought to thank God for everything good in our life, for example, our health, relationship, marriage, children, and career. Often, we grumble, complain and murmur instead thanking God.

Proverbs 10:22 states that the blessings that are from God will bring wealth without adding any sorrow in it. You can easily discern if something is a blessing from God by looking for the signs. If there are bad signs, it means that it is not from God as God is good and will not harm people. Only the devil is wicked and will want to do all kinds of mischief. If it is a blessing from God, you will only see good signs.

In whatever you do, you should not rely on your own wisdom but pray and seek God’s guidance. God is always ready to help us when we turn to him in prayer. If you pray once and did not see result, you should pray again. Praying lets you experience God. God is good but that does not mean that you will be free from worries and troubles after you become a believer. Everyone on earth will face problems. Problems train us to grow and become mature in faith. If there is no problem, you will not be challenged to trust in God. If God answer your prayer and grant your request, you should thank him. We are to thank God in all circumstances as this is God’s will for us in Christ Jesus.

Romans 8:28 states that God works all things for the good of his people. Jeremiah 29:11 states that God has a good plan for his children, a plan to make them prosper and not to harm them, plans that will give them a hope and future. God can put us in different circumstances to lead us to do his will. If you want to know God’s plan, you can pray and ask him to reveal to you. Every Christian has a spiritual gift from the Holy Spirit.

We are to use our spiritual gifts to serve God. Your spiritual gift is something that you are good at in serving God. For example, some people are good in teaching the Sunday School. Some people are playing music instruments and serving in the worship team. You must practice your spiritual gift until you are good at it so that you can use it to serve God for his glory.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. (James 1:17 KJV)

The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it. (Proverbs 10:22 KJV)

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28 KJV)

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the Lord: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the Lord; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive. Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. Does God Hate?

The bible states that God is love. God is rich in mercy and compassion. God so love everyone in the world that he send his only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to the earth to die on the cross for their sins. God is holy and he expect us to be holy as well. In Noah days, God could not tolerate the sins of mankind and decided to wipe them away from the face of the earth. Exodus 34:7 records that God maintain loves to thousands, and forgiving their rebellion and sin. But God will not leave the guilty unpunished. God said he will punish the sinners up to the third generations.

Many people question why God sentenced sinners to hell if he is a God of love. Deuteronomy 32:4 states that God is perfect and all his ways are justice. God is a God of love but he is also a just God. He will punish sinners who disobey and sin against him. For some sinners, they will receive their punishment while on earth. Some sinners will be punished in their after life. God does not hate people but he has to sentence punishment for sins because he is a fair God. The laws are set up by our governments to help God punish the sinners. Criminals who offended the laws such as thieves and killers will be sentenced to jails. This is why Christians must submit to the authorities and do what the laws said.

Sometimes, the laws may contradict what the bible says. For example, many countries have approve of homosexuality. This does not mean that God approves homosexuality. If you know someone who is gay or lesbian, you should pray that they come to know Jesus Christ and get saved.God’s ways and his laws are righteous. We are to abide by God’s commandments and rely on him in all that we do. Children should be taught about God’s commandments in the bible so that they will be well behaved. Many children behave badly and commit criminal offenses because they are exposed to negative influences in their environments.

We only have time to repent when we are alive on this earth. After you die, there will be no more chance. If you go to hell, you will be punished there forever. If you have an enemy and you are afraid that he will harm you, you can pray for God to protect you and punish the enemy. If the enemy is wrong, God will act on justice and punish the enemy. You are not to take revenge against your enemy but act in love towards him.

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. (1 John 4:16 KJV)

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.(1 John 4:8-10 KJV)

We love him, because he first loved us. (1 John 4:19 KJV)

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6 KJV)

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. (2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV)

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23 KJV)

 

Does God Get Jealous?

deuteronomy-4-24The bible mentions that God can get jealous about people who disobey him, for example turning away from him to idols. Jealousy is a sin. We are not to envy or jealous of someone because he has something you don’t have. But God’s jealous is different. God is jealous for the right reason. He gets jealous because he wants us to walk in his commandments. His jealousy is for our own good, so that we can turn to him and abide in him and walk uprightly.

God does not want us to worship other gods. He wants us to be completely devoted to him. He wants us to only worship him. It is a sin to try to integrate the teachings of other religions into your Christian faith. Many people like to follow the world by compromising such as doing yoga, tai chi and etc with an excuse to improve their health. God’s words clearly say that we are not to be conformed to the pattern of the world but rather be renewed in the word of God daily.

You must always keep God’s commandments in your heart and put them first in everything that you do. You must strictly obey God’s commandment without trying to compromise for your own convenience. Only those who have keep his commandments without deviating to the left or right will inherit eternal life and enter into the kingdom of God.

It is easy to give in and compromise when there are so many negative influences in the world. There are many preachers who don’t preach the truth. If you want to know how to follow God properly, you must read and study the bible. You can also evangelize and teach others what you have learned after studying the bible.

God is loving but he is also fair at the same time. He rewards the people who obey his commandments and punish those who disobey his commandments. God punish sinners up to the third generations. This is why people suffer from generational curses. If the same bad incident repeatitively happen on one family member after another, it is probably a generational curse. For example, if your father, cousins, and uncles all die of diabetes, it may be a generational curse. You must break the generational curse in Jesus name so that you won’t suffer the same fate.

However, those who obey him will be blessed and have everything go well with them. If there is no punishment, people would keep on doing crimes and refuse  to obey God. When punishment is set, people will be more reluctant to do bad things and disobey God.

For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God (Exodus 34:14 KJV)
