Psalm 29 Summary
In Psalm 29:1-2, give thanks and glory to God, which belongs to God. Worship God, who is holy.
In Psalm 29:3-9, God is manifested in everywhere. David described God’s voice as the sound of water, thunder, forest sound, and desert sound. God made all these sounds so David called them as God’s voice. With nature manifesting God, everyone has to give thanks and glory to him.
In Psalm 29:10-11, God controls everything on this earth. He sends rain and thunderstorms to the earth but he also restrain them to make sure it does not destroy too much. David prayed that God gives strength to the people and bless them.
Psalm 29 Bible Study
1. Everything you do must give glory to God
Whatever you do must give glory to God because your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. When you give tithe, you are giving to God, not just to the church, so it must be given wholeheartedly so that all glory belong to God. When you serve God, you must serve him wholeheartedly so that all glory belong to God. In 1 Corinthians 6:9, what? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
